Project Benefits

Community Benefit

We are committed to £5,000 (index linked) per installed MW per annum in community benefit, for the operational life of the project.

We would like the local communities to help us shape a community benefit package that best meets local needs and wishes.

There are a wide range of community benefit options to be considered, such as funding of capital projects, local regeneration projects, apprenticeships, and support for local groups and clubs.

We welcome discussion of ideas with community councils, development trusts and local representatives as the project progresses.

Shared Ownership

We are open to discussions around opportunities for Community Shared Ownership of the project.

Economic Benefits

The project aims to create direct and indirect economic benefits including:

  • Local jobs during construction.

  • A range of contracts available for tender; local companies will be encouraged to apply.

  • The potential for local jobs, once the energy park is operational.
